How To Eat Less And Eat Slower

Portion control is a problem for me as is eating so fast I don't realize I'm full. I accidentally found a way to conquer both issues on a recent trip to China ... CHOPSTICKS! I'd always resisted using them before, partly because it took too long and I couldn't get enough food. However, when chopsticks were the only option I learned to use them and quickly realized it takes longer to eat and I don't take such big bites, thus helping me to not overeat. emoticon

I hear ya. I eat really fast so it takes me forever to feel full, plus I can eat more than the average man. I always have to make myself slow down. I will definitely use this trick. - by KEVANS727
  • I just found this out myself. We went for Chinese and my daughter wanted to learn to eat with the chop sticks, so we all skipped the forks. When I was full I looked down and I had only eaten about half of my normal portion. - by RATFINKROB
  • This assumes one in not good at using chopsticks. I spent a summer in Japan while in highschool and ever since they have never slowed me down! emoticon - by MAWRTIAN
