Portion control is a problem for me as is eating so fast I don't realize I'm full. I accidentally found a way to conquer both issues on a recent trip to China ... CHOPSTICKS! I'd always resisted using them before, partly because it took too long and I couldn't get enough food. However, when chopsticks were the only option I learned to use them and quickly realized it takes longer to eat and I don't take such big bites, thus helping me to not overeat.

I have found out recently that there is a solution to being hungry throughout the day. EAT more often! I began scheduling my meals 2 - 3 hours apart and drinking a bottle of water with each meal. I also made sure that my meals consisted of fruits, vegetables, and meats, eliminating all processed foods. Not once have I felt hungry with this plan. Do I desire the old foods, of course? Do I cave to the desires? 95% of the time NO! Because I don't need them. Weight loss is moving towards my goal.
The benefits of eating this way is a steady (but slow) weight loss, never feeling hungry, and content with what I eat.
