Eating healthy and losing weight are like climbing a mountain. You start off , climbing is easy, standing tall with the wind at your back. Soon the climb becomes harder. You hit lose rock and slip around sometimes taking2 steps back. Then you reach a ledge(plateau) and stop to take a breathe always looking up at the summit anxiously waiting for a chance to be on top of the world. Mount Everest is29,035 feet tall. If one calorie lost equaled one foot up Mt Everest, I've made 4 round trips.
To find out how many trips you have made up the moutain .Multiple your weight loss X 3500(calories in one pound). This is the hardest but most rewarding thing I've ever done. What makes it easier is the support of family, friends and a community of walkers at my local mall cheering me on!!

The good trainer can find your personal motivations and this can give your excercise to a boost, because he/she just can find the right moment telling "I can see you go on your way well." or "Okay then, let's climb a mountain together because now you can do it!" My spinning trainer is an Iron Man, he does several challenges and races every season and you can jsut see how he loves sports. He goes on further trainings to improve his and others' technique and performance.
As I'm doing a pulse-controlled, 24 weeks long programme with him in which I finished the 1st phase, he told me this is my personal Iron Man. Because you can find average people there but with ourstanding endurance. And this motivates me more than just defeating someone on a race.
ôLive your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vintage point." ~ Harold B Melchart ~
