  • This is not a tip, and it's the wrong forum for it.
    That being said, the most important thing to do is communicate clearly and politely to the stylist about what you hope for/ expect from the styling experience. And don't worry! Most stylists know that their livelihood depends on happy customers.

  • Here's a related tip:

    Keep a few clippings of haircuts you like, and maybe even some photos of you with hairstyles you liked. Then you'll always have something to pull out and show the hairdresser when you have to let a new one know what you like.
