Garbanzo Beans have 6 grams of fiber, and kidney beans have 14 grams and half of the fat. Both are a good source of cholesterol lowering fiber and protein, folate and magnesium. The soluble fiber in kidney beans binds the bile attached with cholesterol in the digestive track which reduces cholesterol. Grapefruit has soluble fiber, potasium and the red varies have beta-carotene. Grapefruit can last 6 to 8 weeks in the fridge. Eat grapefruit 2-3 hours after meds.
