Blood Pressure And Cheese

Romano Cheese is saltier than Parmesean. Roquefort, Gorgonzola, Brie and Camebert cheeses are aged with penicillin, so if you are allegic to penicillin these may not be the best choice for you. Blue cheeses tend to be salty and sharp and get a smell that resembles stinky feet because of the mold & bacteria that grows on the cheese. When eating any of the blue cheeses remember the salt & your blood pressure. Try Munster, and there are 50 calories in the Low Fat, Low Salt Swiss.More in comments

Freindship brand has a no salt added cottage cheese. Alpine Lace has 3 low sodium versions, mozzarella, fresh goat cheese, and fresh ricotta.

Thanks I get a reaction from these cheeses & am allergic to penicillin. I avoid them if I can. Some are hidden in foods but they find me in 30 min. or less.
