I live alone, so I only have to buy food for one. Walking to and from the grocery store is exercise, and knowing I'll have to carry my week's food back with me helps me fight the urge to buy extra sugary treats!

Yesterday I walked to the grocery store and enjoyed a couple mile walk in beautiful weather. I made a few purchases, but the bag was annoying me as it hit my legs while I walked. I figured out I could put one arm in each handle and create a spontaneous backpack that was much more comfortable!! I found I needed to move the groceries around to find the most comfortable way to wear it.
After each main meal I march on the spot for 3000 steps and 1500 after every snack using my pedometer, This works out to be be around 6 miles of walking a day!!! Another way is walking around the grocery store a few times; no one has any idea that your working out you look like you're just grocery shopping :)
