I still splurge on pizza & pepperoni is my favorite. I take the pepperoni & set it on a paper towel on a plate. I cover it with another paper towel & microwave for a few seconds. The heat cooks the a lot of the fat out of the pepperoni & the paper towel absorbs it.

Bonus is that the pepperoni gets a little crispy - oh YUM!

  • You might want to try Hormel Turkey pepperoni - it is very tasty and low in calories and fat - I make little pizzas from whole wheat english muffins, bottled tomato base spaghetti sauce, sometimes some sliced mushrooms, a sprinkle of skim milk mozzarella and three pepperoni slices on top. I run these under the broiler. They are filling and decadent! - by JSLANDON
