Overeating of sugar & refined carbs, taxes the pancreas an eventually paralyzes it's normal activity. The pancreas is responsible for regulating digestion & blood sugar levels. Getting hungry when we shouldn’t, we do not feel fulfilled after we eat, or need a sweet after eating to feel right. If you want to kick the sugar habit, put an emphasis on raw foods, as raw foods stimulate the pancreas. The pancreas is where our sugar is handled to digest foods & your nerves & brain depend on normalcy.
Switching one bad habit a day to a good one eases us into a healthy lifestyle and a healthy weight. Removing sugar from coffee is one day. If you down 4 sodas a day, quitting all that sugar can be as tough as smoking. Switching one to water every couple days would prevent falling off the wagon.
Small steps include, replacing soda with water. Switching to wheat bread. Skipping the butter on your toast. Switching from mayo to mustard. Packing fruits and veggies to avoid the snack machine at work.
