Migraines And Magnessium

I get a ton of migraines a month which stops me from doing my workouts or feeling like doing just about anything.I have perscriptions that work but make me feel out of it. Wanted to find something natural that would work. A girlfriend of mine who got migraines also told me about adding magnessium to my diet. I found many articles on the internet about magnessium helping, so I tried it. It helps!!! I still get an occassional migraine, most are redused to normal headaches.

I take about half the perscription meds I used to. I checked with my doctor and he said he has also heard of success with magnessium. Lot of people have low magnessium levels because it is hard to find large amounts in any food. I take a pill with calcium and zinc combined. Look into it.

    another really good way to help out a migraine is by eating pineapple! it contains bromelaine which also helps with migraines. if you don't like pineapple you can get bromelaine in capsule form too. Also if you have frequent migraines like I do be sure and have your vitamin d level checked. I had mine tested when I went to my doctor about my migraines and I found out it was almost non existent! So now I take my magnesium, bromelaine and vitamin D3 and I have so much less migraine pain its amazing!

    Thanks for the info...I will try it...I have 10 or more prescriptions and one is for migraines. It would be nice to at least reduce my dependence on that drug. emoticon
