Eat with moderation yes but don't deny yourself anything. This way you can keep the momentum going. And indeed track it for you to see if the calorie intake matches the satisfaction you get after eating it. But still don't deny it to yourself now only you know you can take it once a month instead of every day or every week. Goodluck! YOU CAN DO IT!
Don't stress yourself about controlling your sugars. Check your sugars often and take more insulin if needed. Denying yourself will only heighten your stress. Have a bite or two and be sensible about what you are doing. Don't stuff yourself and test. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
