Make a grocery list from your week's menu plan. Do not shop when you are hungry. PUT THE GROCERIES IN THE TRUNK of the car and don't nibble on the way home. Go in the door closest to the fresh produce. Avoid processed foods if you can. AND READ THE NUTRITION LABELS.

    Great advice. Yes, check the nutrition labels and when you read them consider the serving size. Is it worth the calories, fat,carbs, etc.......?

    Ha ha ha! Do people really nibble on the way home? I would think that's only a possibility of you bought some packaged, processed junk food. Plus, I only live 1-3 miles from the stores in my town, so not much time for nibbling! :)

    Great tip about going in the door closest to the produce. :) That way by the time you get to the processed snack aisle, you can see how full your cart is of healthy wonderful stuff!
