I weigh myself daily to get a handle on what normal weight fluctuations are all about. If I gain a pound from one day to the next, I dont freak out, I dont put myself down, I just make a mental note. When I reflect on what I ate over the past 24 hours, I realize that I did not overeat by 3500 calories to put on the pound, however, I may have been drinking tons of water and tea. Remember if you just drank a bottle of water, you just drank a pound, and we should all be drinking pounds of water.

I have a problem with body imagine, and when I started gaining weight, it just got worse. It got to the point where I wouldn't look in the mirror. Well last week, I MADE myself put on the bikini I had from when I was thin, and really look myself in the mirror. And I told myself, "I love myself for the person I am, and I accept that I have gained weight. I will not feel guilty for gaining weight, but work to lose the extra pounds. "
I think we're always waiting to love our bodies and ourselves when we reach our goal weight, but I think it's better to learn to accept our bodies no matter what.
When I was on my recent plateau, was also on medication. I had to eat at the high end of my range one week and the low end the following week. This helped break a very difficult plateau after gaining 20 pounds from meds. Though I am not back to my starting weight, I have lost 8 pounds this week.
