I always use a flavored Garlic-pepper/low-salt seasoning from a freshly ground spice shaker when steaming, roasting, or boiling all my vegetable dishes. It gives plain and ordinary a little zip of flavor and without any fat or calories. I look forward to all my vegetable dishes even when I don't have fresh herbs in the fridge! Easy with no chopping and slicing. Just great flavor.
