Remember to regularly combine a whole grain along with a lean protein which has been shown to stave off hunger far longer than eating a refined carbohydrate by itself. Carbs elevate blood levels ...so count your carbs...learn to eat slowly and drink water in between bites to help you feel full.

    emoticon When I started with Spark people on the 28th of May 2011, I was 158 lbs and now I am 150 without any dieting but controlling the bad carbs for me. I am trying to have fruits and veggies and sometimes whole grain rice. I am following the spark recipes as much as I can. I am going slow but I'm sure to reach my goal weight someday. I am not a diabetic. My doctor warned me that if I don't control my weight I may get diabetic II soon , so I joined this group. emoticon
