Artificial sweeteners are not necessarily 0 carbohydrate foods. "Sugar free" means no sugar has been added, but you must remember these foods still contain carbohydrates which does affect your blood sugars. Read labels to gain control.
When you purchase OTC medicines, check the labels of the name brands, then the labels of the generic products placed next to them on the shelf. You will find they contain exactly the same ingredients in the same proportions. Then, check the price difference. Go with generic!
