People Use CoQ10 to acheive more energy and weight loss. I was also told that it helps with gum disease and deep pockets. Some of the treatments used to manage diabetes involve supplements, one of which is to your doctor. It can reduce the formation of plaques in the arteries, helping improve heart conditions and blood pressure and regulate high cholesterol

I work in cardiac intensive care and we actually have a doctor who puts his heart attack patients on CoQ10. There are alot of different dosages and I am not sure what the recommended dose is for diabetics but, it would definitely be worth researching.

I have been giving to my mom for several months because she has heart and kidney disease. Her skin looks gorgeous - has really changed the appearance. She takes 300 mg 3x day - buy at Costco. If you don't have heart problems you may not need to take as much. They keep learning more about benefits of CoQ.

Please note that most forms of CoQ10 sold in the supermarket are snake oil. Ubiquinone (the most commonly sold version of CoQ10) is found in almost every cell in your body. The form of CoQ10 that WILL bring added benefits, is its reduced form - ubiquinol. At your mid-30's your body starts to decline in it's ability to convert ubiquinone into it's reduced form ubiquinol.

It should be noted that there is NO research that shows this supplement helps with weight loss. It IS a powerful antioxidant and that IS effective in oxidative stress related diseases like heart attacks, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, ect. It doesn't NOT make plaque in your arteries any less.

Just send me a spark message if you'd like medical journal research information. =)
