Reward Yourself
I love the Spark awards. I rely on the MyTrophies & SparkStreaks to keep me on track and ensure that I do not undervalue my accomplishments. When they give me an award, I give myself a reward. For example, I just got a trophy for losing 25 lbs so I went to Amazon and purchased a $20 watch from my wish list. This watch is a reward & a tool, it has a bezel that will help me to track my exercise minutes. So reward yourself for all of your awards, weight loss, consistency, challenges etc. It’s fun!
MORE INFORMATION:
My Trophies & SparkStreaks are listed on your personal Spark Page under the Awards tab.
The President's Challenge (www.presidentschallenge. org) is another set of challenges available for FREE. Begun in the 1960s, it has been available for years. (Presidential Fitness Award, Physical Fitness Test, Presidential Active Lifestyle Award - PALA, or Presidential Champions) The Adult Fitness Test measures aerobic fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, & body composition. PALA goals are 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for 6 of 8 weeks (or 8,500 daily steps).
MORE INFORMATION:
For the Champions Award, you earn activity points (sound familiar?) for a bronze, silver, gold, or platinum award.
Every time I think of it during the day, I hold my stomach in for a count of 10 (or 20) and then release slowly. You would be surprised how quickly this tightens your stomach muscles and make a flat tummy!
