Care For Your Cutting Board To Make It Last

When you buy a new cutting board it needs to be oiled every day for a week then every week for a month then every month there after depending on how much you use it. I use mineral oil that is purposely made for wood but any mineral oil will do. This will keep the health of the board for years to come.

To clean it before oiling, use baking soda in water for general cleaning or salt crystals rubbed directly on board for odors. Then apply a good amount of oil and let it sit for 24 hours. Wipe off any excess and use as you normally would.
