Every week I change my days off if I can, so that my body does not get used to the same routine. I also switch up my activities. So, although I train for a 5k, I'm not always running at the gym. I don't always do the same DVD. Once I can finish a DVD without hurting too much, I move to a different style (toning, or abs, or dance, etc.)

Do calisthenics during the commercial breaks when you are watching TV. The idea is to exercise intensely for the length of the break, as one would do in interval training.

Exercises: Jumping jacks, push-ups, squats, lunges, etc.
At the top of every hour stop do 25 sit ups and 25 push ups. If you can't do a real push up do the modified ones. This will not only get you into doing some exercise every day but it will also help you to increase the amount of push ups and sit ups you can do. Also helps to add stuff to your Fitness calculator.
