I spoke with a woman who had lost weight & maintained for 30 years. She told me her secret was 5 pounds! Her goal was 115 so she lost down to 110. She then has 5 pounds to work with. If she gains a couple of pounds, she doesn't get concerned. When she gains 5, she works to lose that 5 by eating healthier then she had been. She's been successful doing this for 30 years!

I have a good friend who has maintained her loss for 10+ years. She does the same, and makes sure she does a minimum of walking and drinking water as well.

I am currently 3.5 pounds UNDER my goal weight, which gives me the "wiggle room" I believe you are advocating. I believe I will still use my nutrition tracker. Keeps me honest and I am a bit addicted to Spark Points!

This, combined with weighing myself every morning is what works for me! This is how I have maintained my weight most of my life, and, it is part of what has allowed me to maintain this new weight for 1.5 years.

I love it! I've set this as my goal also. If I gain 2or 3 pounds, I try to eat healthier. If I gain 4 pounds, I track everything on the nutrition tracker to keep me on track. It's working!

There are a few things I ALWAYS do... 1. I always keep my water bottle near me 2. I keep fresh fruit and vegetables in the house all the time 3. I get up the same time everyday to workout; this helps me keep a regular sleep schedule as well I've been able to maintain my goal weight for more than a year using these tips. Good luck.
