On days I am ravenous I make cabbage soup. I can eat a cup every hour or two without increasing my calories. I feel full all day. Counts as 1 vegetable serving.

More Information:

Recipe: 2 cups fat free chicken broth, half head of chopped cabbage, 1 tsp Bragg's amino acids, and sugar free seasonings. To boost my metabolism I add 1 T of Bragg's apple cider vinegar per soup cup. Add 3.5 oz of chicken to make it lunch.

  • Rainpoet, sometimes it is mental not physical craving. Cabbage soup makes me feel like I'm indulging even if I'm ont. - by CLIMBERS_ROCK
  • I actually usually just boil up a potato and cabbage and eat a pile of it for dinner when I feel the need to fill up, but the cabbage soup is a good idea. I would like to say though if you're having a day where you're feeling "ravenous" maybe you are not in eating balance. I eat small 6x a day - not only never get hungry - feel like I'm eating all day and actually have trouble eating that much and can stay around 1200 calories. - by RAINPOET
  • I make cabbage soup too! It works! - by LINDAMARIEZ1
