For Ravenous Days

On days I am ravenous I make cabbage soup. I can eat a cup every hour or two without increasing my calories. I feel full all day. Counts as 1 vegetable serving.

Recipe: 2 cups fat free chicken broth, half head of chopped cabbage, 1 tsp Bragg's amino acids, and sugar free seasonings. To boost my metabolism I add 1 T of Bragg's apple cider vinegar per soup cup. Add 3.5 oz of chicken to make it lunch.

Rainpoet, sometimes it is mental not physical craving. Cabbage soup makes me feel like I'm indulging even if I'm ont.

I actually usually just boil up a potato and cabbage and eat a pile of it for dinner when I feel the need to fill up, but the cabbage soup is a good idea. I would like to say though if you're having a day where you're feeling "ravenous" maybe you are not in eating balance. I eat small 6x a day - not only never get hungry - feel like I'm eating all day and actually have trouble eating that much and can stay around 1200 calories.
