I try not to eat carbs alone too often. Eating carbs with some fat or protein helps me feel satisfied. So if I have an apple I might have a few nuts or a little peanut butter with it. If I want popcorn I might have a little cheese with it. Fruits plus a little yogurt works great. Lots of water and fiber added to the mix really keep my appetite down!

    Now I know you'll get a laugh - but I have upper dentures, which I often don't where when I am home - so if I'm feeling the "urge" to eat, I toss a few dry roasted peanuts in my mouth - takes about 1 hr for them to get to little tiny pieces -so I get the enjoyment of chewing (eating) keeping my mouth busy and out of trouble-LOL, while getting some high protein. I usually eat about 1/2 oz a day.
