While I like to take leftovers to eat for lunch at work, sometimes it just doesn't work out. On those days, I'll open a can of soup that I keep in my desk along with a plastic storage container. That way I have a bowl in which to heat up my food and a lid for storage if there are leftovers afterward
It is really nice to have a fridge and microwave in the break room at work. I realize that not everyone has that benefit. I try to use both to my benefit - both health and financial.
Keep A Black Marker WITH the Masking tape for labelling leftovers!
Whenever I have leftovers, I put them in plastic storage and label with masking tape & a black permanent marker when to "Eat By" and the date. I found it necessary to keep at least one or more black permanent markers RIGHT NEXT TO the masking tape in the drawer so I would be able to make "labelling leftovers" a habit! And now it has become one new healthy habit I have acquired !!!
