I hope I don't get slammed for this, and whether it is healthy is arguable.
For a few weeks now I started to eat a hamburger per day. 390 calories. One meal. Substitutes for dinner. No distractions preparing a meal. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables for the rest of the day. Makes me stay within my calorie range so much better than when I tried vegetarian eating. It's just effortless, satisfying. I eat a regular in-n-out burger, with onions, nothing else emoticon

    Travelsummer;
There is a minor error in the recipe. I failed to include the binder. When mixing the ground turkey mix add 2 egg whites. No yolks.

If the burger is a bit wet or mushy you can add some bread crumbs. I like seasoned crusty bread for my neighborhood Italian bakery. There is always some bread which goes stale. That is what I grind up for crumbs.

    I think whatever works for you. And since youre eating plenty of fruits and veggies you should be fine. Watch your cholesterol though.

    there's nothing wrong with eating a hamburger.

there's also nothing wrong with having it with onion.

you do not have to be a vegetarian. WTG on eating your freggies!

Having pick your FAV's and blended them into your burger mix comes your portion size. One serving size of a meat only burger is the amount of meat your can ONLY hold in the center of your cupped palm. Appx. 2 oz. With the enhanced version above you can actually add an additional 2 ozs. This is the size of a deck of playing cards. Remember a burger from the Golden BarfBag starts at 8 ozs. of surprise ?meat? in a child's unHappy UnHealthy Meal. emoticon

No slam, HOWEVER, a few precautions before SUMMER.

For your burger use a lean ground turkey meat. EVERY GOOD butcher will grind it for you fresh. Otherwise check out the turkey section of your supermarket's ground meat.

When prepping the burger mix the turkey in a mixing bowl with chopped fresh veggies. Baby Peas, Carrots, Colieflower, Broccoli, chiffinode of green leafy veg's (Baby Spinach, Chard, Romaine Lettuce, or the/your like), finely diced(par-cooked) Parsnip, Sweet Potatoes, Rutabaga, Green, Yellow or White Snap Beans or cooked Lentils or Cooked Brown Rice.
