I've started using other grains for breakfast like 'rolled' barley, rye, buckwheat & triticale. They look just like rolled oats but each has a different flavor & ALL are good for you. I throw in some dried cranberries & sprinkle with some hemp seeds or flax meal with my almond milk. Mmm mmm good!

I get bored with the same foods at the same times so switching them up can be fun. Soup & sandwich for breakfast, veggie-cheese frittata for lunch, whole-grain, lowfat pancakes with fruit for dinner. My family loves breakfast for dinner while heartier meals at breakfast keeps my hunger at bay.
If things aren't working for you the way they have been - don't get frustrated- just flip things around. If you normally eat a big dinner, switch it up and have your largest meal for breakfast. If you normally work out at night, switch it up and work out in the morning.
When things get boring and you are in a rut, change it up! I find it a welcome change to have breakfast for dinner, dinner for lunch, and lunch for breakfast. Switch it around and see what happens. It might make you think of some changes to your meals that you hadn't thought of previously.
