Slice a banana and place it in the bottom of 4 dessert dishes. Top with Jello Chocolate Fudge Pudding (made with skim milk). Finish with 2 tablespoons of Cool Whip Free, a drizzle of Hershey's Sugar-free Chocolate Syrup, and 2 pecans, chopped. This makes a quick dessert with one-half of a fruit serving and one-half of a milk serving plus a little bit of the good things that nuts provide.
A similar dessert can be made with lemon jello pudding and blueberries or raspberries.

Craving a delicious creamy banana split? Try this low fat/low carb alternative: Use one container of Yoplait Light Very Vanilla fat free yogurt, 2 tablespoons of sugar free chocolate syrup, one small banana 1/2 cup fresh, cut strawberries. Place the yogurt in a small dessert dish, surround with banana slices and top with strawberries then garnish with chocolate syrup. MMM MMM GOOD! *Note: if you prefer ice cream consistency, sub yogurt with 1/2 cup Breyer's CarbSmart vanilla frozen dairy dessert
Ever since I was a child, instead of dessert, my family would have fruits- either split 2 pieces of fruit such as pears, mangoes, peaches or apples between the four of us or we would each get a handful of grapes or half a banana. It was the perfect amount of sweet to end a meal and eating fruits instead of dessert it is still a habit today. It's healthy plus fresh and delicious.
