Some new flashy workout clothes puts me back in the mood to get to the gym for workout classes (or machines). Likewise, some new tunes for my MP3 makes me want to get out on the road for my jogs! A new route for my bike ride breaks up the boredom. Keep changing things up and make it fun!
Extra steps comes easy when you enjoy your walk. Take new routes, explore new neighborhoods. Hear the sounds, look at cars, relax and the steps just comes unnoticed and time passes by quickly. Enjoy it.
I have used several online mapping tools to calculate my biking and running mileage and to lay out new routes. Most leave me wanting to cuss! The mapping tool on Sparkpeople (on the cardio page) is the easiest one I've used.
