We eat a different version of fruit salad every week. I make a big batch on Sundays then we eat throughout the week (usually done by Thursday). It is a nice treat and healthy that always stays interesting. I also end up trying new fruit on a regular basis so that is something that adds some spark to my salad!

It's true. The times I take to prep all my veggies after I get home from the store & before they get put away, the more I am apt to cook with them or snack from them because it takes less time when I want to cook or eat. Takes just a bit of time at first but pays off BIG later....104
Every veggie possible to prep is ready for a meal, cooked or not...snacks, sandwiches, salads, soups and new recipes!
Variety is the spice of life. Each week pick 1 thing 2 concentrate on & learn to make it a habit 4 that week. Determine 2 eat 2 servings of fruit at each meal; Try a new veggie every day 4 a week; exercise 4 10 min b4 each meal; no matter what, make that a priority 4 a week & see a new habit develop
Many times when I have bought more than 1 kind of fruit OR alot of veggies,I neglect eating ALL of them that week and consequently,some of the food goes bad and it has to be thrown out,wasting money in the process!Last week I tried a NEW plan of attack! I WROTE DOWN ALL the veggies & fruit I bought for that week and posted it AT EYE LEVEL on the fridge right by the door's edge. Every time I opened the refrigerator,I was reminded of what was available in there to use for snacks or other meals.
I also CHECKED OFF and then drew a line through whatever veggie or fruit I or the family had consumed.That way I could keep track of what was eaten and what fruit or veggies were still available. This special "LIST" on the fridge has HELPED ME to not waste food AND EAT MY VEGGIES & FRUIT MORE!
