My hypnotherapist shared this with me and it changed everything! Eat a SMALL dinner, no later than 6pm. Don't eat after 6pm.

We don't need food while we're sleeping, so why stock up for it? She described it as "go to sleep and just let the weight melt off". It works!

    She is incorrect. You do need calories while you sleep especially if you are working out or active. Your body repairs muscle tissue at night while you sleep. If you don't have enough protein to get through the night your muscles can shrink and cause you to loose weight from muscle loss rather than fat loss. Wrong type of weight loss. Better to have your carbs early in the day and protein later in the day gives your body more time to burn the carbs off. Carbs before bed is not the best idea.

    This reminded me there was a girl I saw and started talking to and she told me she just had a baby. She looked amazing. I asked her what her secret was and she said I run 2-3x a week and drink enough water and no matter what under any circumstances dont eat after I think she said 730pm but she said pick a time that works for you and dont eat in the middle of the night.

    NOT a good idea if you are diabetic either and need to eat something before bed!

    Eating later in the evening is a problem for me as well. I work till 5, then tend to run errands and not get home until 6 0r 7. By the time I fix something, it's often 8 before I eat my dinner--which my husband hates that it is so late. A tip from a friend though: she had gastric bypass surgery, and her doctor and nutritionist told her when she gets hungry at night--drink a small amount of skim milk. The milk will satisfy the hunger pangs through the night. I've tried it, despite not really being a milk drinker, and it does work!

    I have heard something similar to this before-only it was after 7:00- it's a little hard for me because I take classes at my gym that don't end until around 7:30. But I try to stick to lower calorie dinners.
