I keep apples on my desk at work so that whenever I'm getting ready to leave work (and drive past the gauntlet of fast food restaurants between my office and home) I can grab one to munch on rather than being tempted by the fattening stuff on my route.

More Information:

I will also often grab an apple when I'm heading out the door to meet friends at a restaurant so that I am not starving and can stick with my healthy choices on the menu.
