After I wash & dry the laundry & it's ready to fold, I place the basket full on the floor and bend at the waist for picking up each and every piece one by one, stand up straight at the edge of the table top, place my item on the table and fold. **This is a little added bonus to my exercise!**
This is something easy and anyone can add it to their daily exercise! I use to place the basket of laundry in a chair and easily pick up the pieces with no extra effort or thought in mind. Now I fold my laundry with more than one purpose in mind! This helps me keep my healthy lifestyle in action!

Fold laundry directly from the line, and sort it too.
Remove and fold all smalls. Stack them according to owner. Then remove and fold all shorts, then skirts, shirts and blouses, stacking according to owner. You can pick out the clothes that belong to one person at a time. Saves you time putting things away, and prevents a lot of wrinkled clothing too.
When I'm folding laundry, I turn the TV onto an upbeat music channel and blast the volume (I usually only do this when home alone!). I find myself dancing to the music and moving the whole time I'm folding, not just standing in one spot! Instead of folding lots of piles on our bed, then putting them away, I put etch item away as I fold/hang up items to keep moving!
When the weather gets bad I get my daily walk in by folding laundry on one end of the house and walking it to the other end piece by piece...fold a shirt, walk it to the closet and put it away, walk back to the laundry basket. Sounds silly, but I did get a 40 minute walk in that way yesterday when the outdoor temperature didn't get above 10 degrees.
