When you can't let go of nagging worries, set your timer and give yourself 5 or 10 minutes to worry. Sit and concentrate on worrying. When the timer goes off, you have taken care of worrying about that subject.
You will actually feel pretty convinced that it is silly to worry about things you can't change.
Make a plan to meet somebody at the gym at a certain time. Ask them not to tell you if they can't make it for some reason. This way, you HAVE to show up, because they could be counting on you, and there is less chance for you to back out if they do!
Don't tell them if you can't make it either- make it a two-way thing.
