Choices When Eating Out

I like the suggestions of looking at the menu before going out to dinner, however, I might feel like something different when I get there, so I choose 3 options that fit in the daily food choices, usually a chicken, seafood and a salad or pork or beef option. Then, I get to open the menu and "choose" like everyone at the table. And I get to say "I'm trying to choose between this, this and that" like everyone else.
