There's an article here about 100 Super Foods (http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nutrition_articles.asp?id=307). I read it and felt incredibly motivated, so I decided to challenge myself to bring more variety to what I eat. So, over the next few weeks, I'm going to try my best to check off every one of the 100 super foods. It's like my "to do" list - only better!
Shakeology has over 70 whole ingredients in it include super foods, phyto nutrients, enzymes, amino acids, fruits, veggies, vitamins and minerals. It has been proven to reduce cravings, lower cholesterol and actually REVERSE heart disease. On top of that is great for weight loss and skin care!
Grind pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds together and if not allergic to nuts, add walnuts, almonds to the seeds mix and grind to a powder, not too fine. I then use this super food powder as a topping on bagel/cream cheese, sprinkle it on salad, add to oatmeal/quinoa porridge, on toasted bread, add to a glass of milk with honey... These seeds have lots of minerals, proteins and good fats The good fat and the proteins helps to curb hunger while providing wonderful nutrients4
