I wrote a blog about this a while back. Keeping the "skinny" clothes makes sense, but why do we keep our "fat" clothes? I know we don't want to fit back into them, but why is it so hard to get rid of them?

Congratulations on releasing anything that will hold you down. And I'm glad you were able to help brighten someone else's day!

Giving to your "needy" neighbor is wonderful! I don't have anyone like that but donate my things to charity organizations who call and send a truck to pick-up.

good idea on creating more space in home too. I have a hard time with this, thinkiing I'll just wear that for gardening, or sleeping in, or whatever, and it saves money; but some things just really should go- like dressy or business/work clothing items, I know.

Awesome. After I hit the 40 pound mark, mine went and I am still finding things in my drawers and closet that are too big.

When I lost 50#, I gave all my big clothes away. Gaining weight meant I would have to buy more clothes that I just gave away. It is a good deterrent. I would rather have to buy smaller size clothes, then eventually give them away till I get to my goal .

If you have dressy clothes that are too big, please consider donating to Dress for Success (for women's clothes)...they are all over US and you can mail to them as well. They need plus size business suits and work wear including shoes, hose..everything. They are an excellent non-profit that helps women get jobs.
