Cashews are lower in fat than most nuts and have the same the same monounsaturated fat found in olive oil. Diabetics usually have high triglycerides. So for the diabetic having monounsaturated fat is a good idea to protect your heart. People with existing and untreated kidney or gallbladder problems may want to avoid eating cashews so check with your doc if you have kidney or gallbladder problems
