To stay on target with healthy shopping, I go to the baking aisle and pick up as many bags of sugar/flour to equal the amount of weight I've lost. It's amazing when you stand there holding all that extra weight and realize you've lost that much!

Sometimes I think when we have a large number of pounds we want to lose we get discouraged by just a 5 or 10 pound weight loss. I like to think of etch 5 pounds as a bag of sugar. Doesn't seem like much but think about how tiring if you have to carry that 5 pound bag with you everywhere you go! Think how exhausting it would be to carry around two 5 pound bags of sugar all day! Give yourself credit for small accomplishments!9306
Picture your weight loss in terms of something you can identify with. I use 16-pound bowling balls so when I lose 4 pounds I can envision one-fourth of a ball gone. Use five-pound bags of sugar, 20-pound boxes of kitty litter or other item you are familiar with. Keeping this image in mind will help you better "see" your weight loss.
