Never drink whole milk always choose Skim or 1%. A diet high in saturated fat can cause a serious problem for a diabetic. Saturated fats can worsen insulin resistance. Avoid whole milk dairy proucts and eat lower fat versions. Also stay away fruit juice including the 100 percent fruit juices as they have tons of sugar...eat fruit or squeeze your own juice fresh instead.
Juicing fruit and vegetables and drinking lots of water to kick start metabolism is my secret weapon.
