If you're building up your home gym with free weights, tubing, fitballs, etc, try checking with a small local gym or personal trainer for suggestions. Sometimes they get discounts for larger orders and if your order gets them closer they'll give you wholesale price. The equipment is usually more durable and there's a larger variety than big box or sporting goods stores. For a few extra bucks, a trainer (especially new ones) will usually teach you how to use your new stuff too!
I have especially good luck with this tip through my company gym since they are small and don't work on commission. I stay away from corporate gyms who have their own brands becuase they usually mark it up to cover marketing.

Many uses for those little "shake to use" winter hand warmers!
Don't just throw away those little disposable winter hand warmer packets after you've come in from the cold. Most of them stay warm for hours, and you can use them for many things! Toss them in your bed to warm it up before you go to sleep. Set your mug of tea down on one to keep it from getting cold. Hold some against whatever muscle of yours is achiest from exercise. They're really like tiny heating pads!
I will confess I have some tucked in my bra right now, after a very cold walk home from the gym. 334
