I'm really active in our church, and take part in several study groups and workteams. This requires 2-3 meetings each week, sometimes out of town. Sometimes these events mean that I can't have lunch or dinner at my regular time. So that I'm not tempted to stop for fast food, or to over-eat when I get home, I carry an energy bar in my purse at all times. The kind I like are L'A'RABAR, which I find in the health food section of our supermarket. Low sodium, no transfat, lots of fibre, & tasty.

MORE INFORMATION:
Half a bar, or even a couple of bites is often enough to take the edge off my hunger. Also, on those days, I try to have my lunch or dinner planned before I leave home so that it's quick and easy to prepare and serve when I get home.
