1. Make sure you are not hungry. 2. HAve a list and stick to it. 3. Shop the outer edges of the store first to make sure to get fresh foods, instead of processed food. 4. Only use coupons for foods you really use, do not just buy it because you have a coupon. 5. Check unit prices.
When grocery shopping, make sure you check the price per unit. Don't simply assume the bigger box is the better deal; stores have gotten wise to that idea and often the big container does, in fact, cost MORE per pound/ounce/cracker than the small one. Crazy, but true.
