If I overeat, skip a workout I had no reason to, or otherwise screw up, I'm tempted to wallow and continue down the spiral. Instead, I get on the treadmill and run. I do a work out DVD. The workout lifts me out of the negative thought pattern and I know I'm starting to make up for whatever mistakes I made.

Be healthy. Don't overexercise or starve yourself to atone for mistakes.

    I liked the idea of having a specific action to take to change the context. You really can't eat while exercising, and activity will usually alter negative mood and behavior. Good plan.
