Eating just one grapefruit each day can lower your total cholesterol and up your vitamin C intake. Eat 2 hours after taking meds. Checking your blood sugars 1-2 hours after eating will let you know how your total meal is affecting you. Having diabetes is not about "I can't"; it's about closer planning of what you do eat.
