Keep Stuff You Use Together - Together!

This Sparked Me!

I've organized my kitchen cabinets, closets and cupboards so that things I use "together" are next to each other. Baking stuff is all in one part of the cupboard, staples in another, exercise clothes in a certain area of my closet, etc. I save time and frustration by not having to look for stuff. AND I keep only those things I use and love. Everything else gets donated, recycled or tossed.

i'm always looking for things... have planned places for some, but just moved Jan. 1 to house less than half size of previous. Despite lots of downsizing, we are still left with a basement and garage full of boxes to go through, and clothing that won't fit in the much much smaller bedroom closet. We made the mistake of putting in air conditioning too, not realizing that the vent for the master bedroom would take up TONS of closet space in what is already much too small. When he said he'd put the vents thru the closets, I was thinking about some thin flat thing less than the size of little grill-like covers I had seen in old house for the ducts with central air. No idea it would be about 18in. or more indiameter chunk out of each closet, and in one closet, completely lost the upper shelf over the hanging bar, as there was no way to put it back in with the new vent there.

I'm a big fan of keeping things organized. I have a declutter day several times during the year. I have to warn the family in advance. It always seems to put them into shock. Lol
