Walk And Talk

When I have phone calls to return, or want to call a friend I need to get back in touch with, I head outside with my cell phone and walk around the track at my local high school. I can measure it by time and distance too so I can enter it in my fitness tracker. Another huge benefit is that it is nice to catch up with an old friend that you "haven't had the time" to call and chat with! emoticon

  • I walk in circles around my apartment while I'm on the phone, drives my husband crazy but I love checking the time when I get off the phone and seeing that I walked for an extra 30-60 min, even if it's not fast it's still movement and steps. - by KEL_BEL_FX3
  • LOL! The freedom of cell phones! It is funny to be old enough to remember being confined by the length of a phone chord. - by PUDLECRAZY

  • I also walk, but in my home. I'm hearing impaired and can't go outside while on the phone - makes it too hard to hear. I also swing my legs and/or do exercises while on the phone, like squats, abd. crunches, pelvic tilts, some glute work, etc. I learned from a dear friend yrs. ago that she kept from gaining wgt. by always moving - even when she was sitting or standing, she would move her parts of her body. Of course, not in public. emoticon - by SYLSITT
