Thirteen miles sounds so far, but I have been walking/running when possible, just to see how quickly those miles add up. What a surprise. After a few days of walking/running, using the stairs instead of the elevators, etc., I am starting to realize I can do it! WooHoo! emoticon

    I walked my first 1/2 marathon last October (my running partner was injured so we decided to walk it and complete it together) after running five 5Ks during the year. This year I have committed to running a 1/2 marathon in September! What training program are you using? I love Jeff Galloway!

    Of course you can do it! I did my first half last year, just a few months after I thought myself not ready to do a 10K! A Spark Friend asked me to do one with her, and I COMMITTED myself to it. All I wanted to do was finish, which I did, and faster than I expected, plus I met a new friend, and did another half just 6 weeks later, beating my original time.

    Congratulations! Which one are you training for. I am training for the Country Music one in Nashville. This will be my 3rd one. emoticon
