Your body doesnít really know or care when you eat and will process that food the same way. However, I have found that I tend to make worse choices in the evening after dinner, eat mindlessly in front of the TV on chips, buttery popcorn, etc. If I really need something to eat, Iíll have a glass of skim milk which seems to curb the cravings.
Iíve also found that by not eating in the evening that I sleep better, I donít wake up bloated and I actually want to eat breakfast.
Try experimenting with not eating after 7:30pm or so! It's a challenge for me to get dinner in my belly that early but I believe it's well worth it. I drink water after then though. I think eating late is hard on my metabolism.
Another benefit is that I wake up hungry and that encourages me to eat a good breakfast!
If you're like me and exercise right after work, you'll have to make some changes. I'm trying to eat dinner soon after work and still give myself some digestion time before I exercise.
Hope this works for you, I feel pretty good about it!
