When you're sidelined by illness or injury during your journey to health, don't fall back into old habits. You've come too far and worked too hard to throw it all away! You may not be able to exercise for a while but you can still eat 5+ fruits/veggies, drink 8+ cups of water, sleep 7+ hours per night, continue positive self dialogue, stay with your healthy eating plan and use Spark People as support. While it can be depressing to sit at home, it doesn't have to be a disaster for your plan!

    I just finished chemo and radiation treatment for breast cancer and have decided that Sparks is the place to be. I read many things and it makes me feel better. I am on my way to a get up and go life again

    I wish I had found Spark People years back when I had foot surgery - it felt as if I'd never recover and I gained weight and, worse, some low self esteem during that time. Good advice! - by the way my foot, and esteem, are healed :-)

    So true, so true. When my Meniere's acts up, I do what I can. I do not let this illness beat me.
