When arriving home from a hard day of work, after dinner my favorite activity is watching TV not excising. Just as I decide to go for a walk another one of my must see programs comes on so walking is put off yet another day. So I decided to combined my TV watching with my walking which helps me from getting bored. Iím so into my program that before I realized it, I have walked in place for an hour without looking at the clock and becoming bored.

Exercise during the SHOW, rest during the commercials
Most tips suggest exercising during the commercials, and that's awesome, but on the days when I know I'm not going to do much outside (no work, rainy day, etc), I choose to watch something engaging that doesn't ask much of me aka a Lifetime Movie, and exercise during the movie and sit down during the commercials. I'm doing 20 min segments of walking in place, squats, crunches, etc.
If I'm going to watch tv regardless, might as well better my body at the same time!
